That's her name. Don't ask me where it came from but it stuck! I think this Mother's Day means more to me than any other. Obviously, I am a mom now so that factors in but more so that I appreciate my mom so much more. She has been the rock in my life, that one to give you a swift kick in the tush and a huge hug all in the same moment. She is funny, caring, beautiful, amazing, loving, strong, bold, honest, tough, straight forward..did I say honest? There are many more words I can describe my mom but in the long run she is my best friend. The person in this world who taught me what relationships should be and what they could be. She is one of the people I need the most in this world and one of the people I don't say that enough to.
Here are some things about my mom you might not have known:
1. She cries when she runs over a chipmunk (she did once but I am sure she would do it again if she hit another one)
2. She loves her family more than anything else in this world!
3. She laughs most at my Aunt Flo and they could spend hours at the kitchen table talking.
4. She makes the BEST meatballs in the world!
5. She knew she wanted to marry my dad the moment she saw him on the bus in grade school...despite his madras shorts!

6. She truly, deeply adored her father.
7. She is funniest when she tries to tell a joke. Not that actual joke but her rendition of it :)
8. She always smells good - a mixture of clean and gum...hmmmm.
9. She has strong opinions and isn't afraid to share them.
10. She loves baseball.
11. She will probably cry when she reads this.
12. She will then call me and "say you didn't have to do that Megan, thank you".
13. She rarely eats meat from a restaurant - me either.
14. She won't eat food that has been in the fridge too long - me either.
15. She is a tried and true Clinique woman - so am I.
16. She likes her house clean and taught us that everyone in the house helps to keep it that way.
17. Her favorite movie is Field of Dreams.
18. She has healing powers.

19. She would do anything for her family.
20. She usually knows there is something wrong with me before I do and just what to do to make it better.
So many more things I could say but what it comes down to is that I cherish and adore my mom and it is safe to say that we all do!
