Buy One Get One.

Those of you who read our Ella blog know that our little girl has been sick. I took her to the doc last Friday to find out that she is a-okay. BUT her symptoms haven't gotten better. I took her back to the doc today in fear of her having an ear infection. Nothing. Good news.
HOWEVER...did I mention that I had to pay $25 last Friday and $25 today as well. $50 to tell me to give her some medicine at night to help her sleep. My mom could have charged me $20 for that same medical advice. So my thought is this - we should be able to pay our co-pay and have a 2 day window of time in which we can return to the doc free of charge. Within a week, if we need to return, we get half off our co-pay. It's a nice plan.
Trust me, I know that I felt more at peace coming from the doc and know nothing was going on with her but a stinking cold but jeez! Who created this system anyway. Guess I need to sharpen my mommy skills a bit in the sickness department.

No honing necessary! I think it is ridiculous (having done this several times, already:))

I love the idea of a guaranteed service... you should lodge a complaint to the insurance giants for sure. I think all the administrators with kids would agree!

Dude! I totally agree, Meg. I have already shelled out over $100 in co-pays and Avery is only 7 weeks old. Add that to the ridiculous copays that I have had to pay for Avery's birth and afterwards (Highland, 2 ambulance rides and Strong). GEESH! Even with insurance, this stuff is expensive!
