I'm still pregnant. We have a week and half to go. I'm ready. I think I have said this in prior posts but I am not one who loves the actual act of being pregnant. I am blessed because overall, my body responds positively to being 'with child' but this time has been a little tougher for me.
Let me clarify...I love being a mom though!!!
So we have the c-section scheduled for the 13th and I am counting down. Motherhood really is amazing to me. I never really thought about the sacrifices we women make to have children. I say that not to suggest we are martyrs of some kind but to rather to point out that we pretty much put our bodies through hell. My legs look like road maps from all the spidey and other veins that have decided to grace them.
Although I promised myself I would never be one of those women who start a conversation with their children like this, "My body was fine until I had kids..." I can see why women hold that claim.
So this pic is a true version of what my poor hubby comes home to...minus Ella picking her nose. We are blessed though to have our families live so close and to be so involved in our lives. They are a huge help and take many burdens from us.
